What is the date/time of the Grand Rapids Fireworks?

The Grand Rapids Fireworks take place on the FIRST Saturday in July. The 2023 event will take place on Saturday, July 1.  Entertainment begins at 6pm. Fireworks will light the sky at 10:30pm

Where do the Grand Rapids Family Fireworks take place?

The family friendly entertainment will take place at Ah-Nab-Awen Park near the Ford Presidential Museum in downtown Grand Rapids.

How do I get to Ah-Nab-Awen Park? Is parking free?

The park is located next to the Ford Presidential Museum – 303 Pearl St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Please see our parking page for details. 

Is there a cost to the event?

There is no cost to the public, this is a community event. 

Will there be food and drinks available?

Local food vendors will be onsite serving up some of our favorite summer dishes. No alcohol allowed in Ah-Nab-Awen Park: this includes social district cups.

No glass bottles are allowed in Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Pearl Street Bridge, Bridge Street Bridge, Blue Bridge or 6th Street Bridge viewing areas.

Please leave your large coolers and bags at home. All coolers and bags are subject to search by security and the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Are pets allowed?

No pets allowed in Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Pearl Street Bridge, Bridge Street Bridge, Blue Bridge or 6th Street Bridge viewing areas.

This is a rain or shine event. No rain date.

  • No bikes or scooters are permitted in the above-mentioned areas. 

  • No mega horns or blow horns are permitted.

  • No fireworks or sparklers in Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Pearl Street Bridge, Bridge Street Bridge, Blue Bridge or 6th Street Bridge viewing areas. 

  • This is a rain or shine event.

  • Please follow the CDC guidelines and respect each other’s personal space.

  • No weapons (pocket knives, firearms, etc.)

  • No solicitation or unpermitted vending
